The calendar for Communion Service is included in this communication. The Worship Committee hopes you will accept this obligation to serve, and to make it easier for you, we are outlining the following procedure. Each starred (*) person is responsible for setting up the service. Clean-up is the responsibility of all servers. · Supplies and Service are located in the lower cabinet on the east wall in the kitchen next to the stove. · Look for grape juice (1) in either refrigerator, or (2) in the circular cabinet to the left of the stove. · Four trays having about 80-90 cups should be filled. Pour juice in the pitcher and bring the empty cup for the minister. · The three bread trays should have the cubed bread. Also please provide one roll scored on the bottom so it can be easily torn, placed on the small plate, which can be broken for the service. You will need to supply the bread. · The quilted Communion cloth is located in the closet at the back of the fellowship hall near the choir robes. Lay the Communion cloth over the Communion table and place the Plexiglas over the Communion cloth. If the table is already adorned for worship, the Communion cloth is not used. Please remove the quilted communion cloth after the service. · On Easter the white cloth located in the kitchen cabinet under the microwave should be used. All preparations can be done on Saturday and placed in the refrigerator if you choose. Communion servers follow the ushers as they return the offering to the front of the church, and sit in the two front pews on either side of the aisle. Communion servers should serve the minister, the lector and the organist before serving the rest of the congregation. A postcard reminder will be mailed to you several weeks before it is your turn to serve. Thank you for accepting this call to serve your brothers and sisters in Christ at his table.
